Artistic Director Update
At the end of our Spring 2026 concert season, our founder and Artistic Director, Jarod Ogier, will be stepping down from his roles with the organization. Jarod’s vision led to the formation of Columbus Rings in 2018 and Ring Out! in 2021 as brand-new handbell ensembles. These groups have continued to grow and thrive under his leadership and have set a new standard for community handbell ringing in Central Ohio.
We are deeply grateful for Jarod’s dedication, musicianship, and perseverance leading us through the myriad challenges that musical nonprofits face. His efforts have laid the foundation for our group and enabled us to share great music with Columbus and the surrounding communities. His ongoing contributions have made our members better musicians, enhanced our knowledge of handbell ringing, organized exciting collaborations, and produced dozens of concerts, cherished by our community, over the last eight years. We sincerely thank him for his time and leadership.
We’re excited for our Spring concert season which includes a visit to the Area 5 Spring Festival in Muncie, Indiana later this month. More updates about Columbus Rings and our 2026-27 season will be forthcoming soon.

Columbus Rings is an auditioned, community handbell ensemble composed of ringers from Central Ohio.
We foster knowledge, love, and appreciation of handbell ringing in Central Ohio through handbell performance, educational events, and community enrichment.
Columbus Rings was formed in 2018 by six ringers from the Central Ohio area with the goal of creating a performing handbell ensemble that would bring handbell music to a broader audience. Our first concert at Worthington United Methodist Church has become an annual holiday tradition. We have also performed in many local venues including the Columbus Metropolitain Library, Franklin Park Conservatory, Columbus Museum of Art, the James Cancer Hospital at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, public libraries in McArthur (Vinson County) and Homer (Licking County), and a Columbus Blue Jackets game.
Columbus Rings is committed to handbell and handchime ringing education which has led to partnerships with Columbus City Schools, Reynoldsburg City Schools, and Area 5 (Regional Chapter) of the Handbell Musicians of America. Columbus Rings is supported by grants and from donations from individuals.
Looking towards the future, we continue to seek grant funding and donations of support to expand our concert offerings, build our own cache of handbell equipment, and explore broader collaborations with other arts and culture institutions and organizations throughout Central Ohio.

Columbus Rings is generously supported by grant funding from the Ohio Arts Council and the Greater Columbus Arts Council.
